Prince William Hair Loss

Prince Williams’s hair was under scrutiny during his current trip to New Zealand. Wearing a traditional Maori cloak, the 27-year-old addressed dignitaries, including Prime Minister John Key, in Wellington, showing certain signs of hair loss.

Due to the history of hair loss within the family, the odds have always been staked against Prince William. But the 27-year-old is losing his hair at a drastic rate.

The anxiety male pattern baldness causes is bad enough for the average man but when you’re in your 20s and next in line for the throne, each time you lose a bit more you can expect more gossip to be in the papers.

During his time in New Zealand he was seen wearing a baseball cap a lot of the time, but obviously he cannot wear this during his official work.

A while back, William Hill, a UK bookmaker, placed odds on whether Prince William will be the face of a hair loss advertisement. At present the odds are 1,000/1 which is the same as the odds on National Service being reinstated.

Whether price William’s hair loss bothers him is open to debate but as he is currently dating a beautiful woman and is heir to the throne, chances are, in the grand scheme of things, he doesn’t care too much.

So are there any treatments available for Prince William? In all honesty, his options are limited. He could try taking propecia but as there is a lot of hair loss already, it may have a minimal impact. The other option would be a hair transplant but again due to the large area that would need covered, there is not much hope he could achieve the density he desires.

Hair loss or not, he seems to be charming his way into the hearts of the New Zealand locals.

Shortly after landing at Auckland airport on Sunday morning, the Prince was taken to the Eden Park rugby stadium development, which will host the 2011 Rugby World Cup final. William also watched a group of Maori warriors perform the haka – the chest-beating, tongue-waving greeting that is reserved for important individuals.
