Jeremy Piven Hair

Paparazzi captured Jeremy Pivens hair getting prepped for shooting a scene on the upcoming season of Entourage.  Over the years, Jeremy has worn a variety of hairpieces to hide his receding hairline, even appearing without any hairpiece from time to time, letting the world in on his secret.

Balding – it’s a fact of life for many males. The problems start at the early stages of hair loss, when the hairline begins to recede. Because it is often difficult for men to part with once thick, lush hair, they frequently go in for treatment which can include regrowth methods and hair transplants

And while older, more mature male celebrities are often regarded as having ideal appearances; they face criticism from the press when they start to lose their hair. In Hollywood, there is always someone younger and more attractive waiting to take that role. Therefore, the pressures to remain youthful and handsome are can cause some male celebrities to have these procedures.

Jeremy Piven was on an early episode of Seinfeld about 15 years ago, and he was already bald. It is not sure if Jeremy is currently wearing a hair piece or has had a hair transplant. Recent photos show him with what looks like a hair transplant scar on the back of his head.

There’s no doubt that whether it’s a hair piece or Hair transplant, it definitely looks great!

It makes him look 10 – 15 years younger and has no doubt given him more exposure when getting acting roles.

Would a bald Jeremy Piven have got the role in Entourage?

I’m sure we would all like to think that someone’s talent would shine through, with or without hair, but other cynics would say that if Jeremy Piven didn’t have hair he wouldn’t be getting some of the roles he currently is.

Hair Cloning

Many queries come in from people wondering about hair cloning.  Hair cloning would be the ultimate cure for hair loss and might not be too far away.   Two top hair transplant surgeons and researchers, Gary Hitzig, M.D. and Jerry Cooley, M.D.., have become the first doctors to successfully clone hair using an FDA-approved healing powder called MatriStem® MicroMatrix™.

Using this powder they have been able to create a technique that multiplies the hair follicles that had previously stopped growing hair.  This is an unbelievable breakthrough that many have been trying to accomplish.

MatriStem MicroMatrix, a product of regenerative medicine innovator, ACell, Inc., is a wound healing powder.  It works by healing and promotes tissue growth.  It has now been proven to help regenerate hair in the donor and recipient areas of hair transplant patients. While originally intended for diabetic ulcers, venous ulcers, traumatic wounds, second degree burns and trauma wounds, Hitzig and Cooley have found that it has many more uses, including cloning hair.

MatriStem  changes the way wounds heal by triggering the formation of new blood vessels at the wound site, as well as providing a favourable substrate for host cell attachment, proliferation and differentiation. Hitzig and Cooley have also found that MatriStem causes the body to regenerate the original tissue meaning it will also regenerate the hair follicles.

The study was originally intended to see if the wound healing powder could correct scars from past hair transplants and re-grow hair in the donor area. Successful results in treating scars led to this fantastic hair cloning breakthrough.

Although this has potential, it is important to understand that this could be years away from being widely available.   We will have a better idea of things when we see actual results. Their tests are only preliminary at this moment.

andre agassi wig

Andre Agassi has admitted for the first time that he once wore a wig.  The former tennis star said he was so distracted that his wig would fall off during a Grand Slam final that he ended up losing the match.

Agassi made the admission, in his new autobiography, Open. He stated: “Every morning I would get up and find another piece of my identity on the pillow, in the wash basin, down the plughole.  ”I asked myself: you want to wear a toupee? On the tennis court? I answered myself; what else could I do?”andre agassi hair

He first tried the wig in the French Open in 1990.  This was the first time he reached a Grand Slam final.

“Then a fiasco happened,” he said. “The evening before the match I stood under the shower and felt my wig suddenly fall apart.”Probably I used the wrong hair rinse. I panicked and called my brother Philly into the room.

“It’s a total disaster!” I said to him. He looked at it and said he could clamp it with hair clips. It took 20 clips. “Do you think it will hold?” I asked. “Just don’t move so much,” he said.

“Of course I could have played without my hairpiece, but what would all the journalists have written if they knew that all the time I was really wearing a wig?”During the warming-up training before play I prayed. Not for victory, but that my hairpiece would not fall off.

“With each leap, I imagine it falling into the sand. I imagine millions of spectators move closer to their TV sets, their eyes widening and, in dozens of dialects and languages, ask how Andre Agassi’s hair has fallen from his head.

It was his wife to be, Brooke Shields, who advised him to shave his head and get rid of the wig.

“She said I should shave my head,” he said. “It was like suggesting I should have all my teeth out. Nevertheless, I thought for a few days about it, about the agonies it caused me, the hypocrisy and lies.”andre agassi wig

Agassi admits that he found it strange when he first looked at the man in the mirror.

“A stranger stood before me in the mirror and smiled,” he said. My wig was like a chain and the ridiculously long strands in three colors like an iron ball which hung on it.”

The fact that Agassi wore a wig won’t upset any of his fans and after a while we all got used to the new shaven look. However, if his wig had of fallen off during one of his matches, it’s hard to know what would have happened to his reputation and resultant career.
